Pate's Story...
Born June 24th on the cold floor of a high kill shelter, Pate has thrived with his mom and siblings in his foster home. Mom was very very thin but managed to deliver 7 healthy puppies. Now that they are weaned and have been spayed and neutered, these sweet babies are ready to go to loving forever homes.

Pate is a sweet happy boy with beautiful black and white fur. So playful and spunky, this boy will provide love, affection and hours of joy! Pate does well with other dogs, children, and cats!

Puppies this age become what new owners mold them into. They are sweet loving happy and eager to learn. They need to be taught and trained. They look at other animals as playmates, it is up to new owners to keep them animal friendly and turn them into wonderful family pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pate, a Cooperstown Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cooperstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Cooperstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cooperstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cooperstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cooperstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
