Here's what the humans have to say about me:
November 2015 update: Yoda is being returned to the rescue because he is having trouble getting along with new dogs, especially small ones. He has a little of that "Napoleon complex" typical of small dogs. He needs a family committed to training with him, and would love to soak up all the attention as an "only". He is almost 6 months old (as of early November) and about 15 lbs.
Meet the Star Wars puppies! Their mom, Mara, was not well taken care of and she was taking care of her puppies on her own. Their human at the time didn't care what happened to them. Luckily someone called our rescue partners and they stepped in to help. The babies got much-needed baths and medical care and preventatives and now they are a happy healthy bunch! Yoda is the tiniest at 10-12 lbs with those crazy Yoda ears that are the biggest part of his body! He has "little man syndrome," not afraid of a thing! The other three (Han, Luke and Leia) are about 15 lbs each. Mom appears to be a medium size shepherd mix but no idea about their dad.
At meal times Luke has to be separated because he doesn't share well and will eat everyone's food if allowed. Leia is the toy hoarder of the group. They are just priceless little cuties! They are just over 4 months old (as of mid-September). They will run and play all day and then crash in their crates all night without a peep.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
