My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dot is a 2 to 3 year old extra large female, spayed, fully vetted, and on preventatives. She walks very well on leash and enjoys all the other animals she comes across when we are out and about. Dot will require a fenced in yard and lots of cuddle time

Our dogs are not in a kennel, they are in foster homes. Keep in mind that we are a volunteer organization and encourage serious inquiries only. The beauty of a Great Pyrenees can take your breath away, but they are unique dogs which require dedicated owners who have thoroughly researched the traits of the breed. Feel free to visit our website at www.nepyresq.org for information to start your journey!

Northeast Pyrenees Rescue sponsors dogs from the Northeast including New Jersey for placement in homes in our region.
Great Pyrenees are known for their barking as they were bred to be Livestock Guardians. HOWEVER, a dog not raised around farm animals does not automatically become a Livestock Guardian. They are trained from birth to do that job. If you need a working dog you should contact a reputable breeder for a trained dog. Find breeders at Great Pyrenees Club of America www.gpcaonline.org
