Macy's Story...
Macy is available for adoption! Macy is a feral puppy that was found living in an abandoned house by a fellow rescuer. By talking to neighbors it was discovered that Macy was actually owned by a family that didn't want her. They didn't interact with her or take care of her at all. Her mom and littermates had all been hit by cars so she was totally alone. Since she is a feral puppy The Devoted Barn was called and we brought her into our program.

Macy is finally ready to find her forever home! She is one of the sweetest dogs that you will ever meet. She is very shy at first but once she gets to know you she will be your best friend! Macy is very smart and picks up on new tricks quickly. She would love a family that will take her to classes and for lots of walks to continue her socialization. Macy's favorite game is ball and she will chase that tennis ball all day long!

Macy does well with cats and other dogs when properly introduced. Her two little fluffy foster fur-siblings are her best doggy friends! She is crate trained and house broken too! Do you have room in your home for this sweet little girl?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Newport Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Newport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
