Bojangles was found running down the edge of Hwy. 105, wearing a thick chain tightly around his neck, dragging a smaller tie-out chain behind him. The chain around his neck was so tight, it had to be cut off.
It seems that Bojangles may have had very little socialization with other dogs prior to being rescued. He craves human attention, loving to crawl into your lap and be petted. He is learning how to socialize and be appropriate with other dogs. He particularly dislikes big dogs and prefers smaller female dogs. He would probably do best in a home where he would be the only dog. However, we know that is difficult to accommodate these days so maybe one female dog would be acceptable to him.
No first time dog owners, please. Bojangles will need an experienced dog owner who has the time and patience to work with him.
Estimated birthdate: August 3013 Approximate weight: 24 lbs.
