My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dagwood is a Boxer/lab mix that is about a year and a half old & weighs 45 lbs. His previous owners moved out & left this sweet boy behind in the storage shed. Luckily the neighbors heard him barking and he was rescued. He is so thankful for being saved and shows his appreciation every day with love and kisses. Dagwood is the happiest dog & is content with whatever is going on in the household. He loves snuggling up with you, going on car rides or playing in the yard. As seen in the video, he LOVES to play ball! Apparently his previous owners didn't play ball with him & he learned from our black lab, he will jump 4 feet in the air to catch it! Dagwood would make the best family pet as he loves all people, playing with other dogs & is so sweet to cats too. I can't stress enough how much joy he will bring to his adopted family's life. Dagwood is currently being fostered in Tennessee. Feel free to contact his foster mom, Alecia Clark @ 901-486-2850, if you have any questions. Once adopted he will travel to his new forever home via transport. His adoption fee of 450.00 includes his vaccinations, neuter, microchip and his transport to his new forever home. For an adoption application on Dagwood please email baversa1@gmail.com

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
