Facts about Timmy

  • Breed: Miniature Pinscher Mix
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Timmy is a handsome min-pin, approx. 10 lbs and 10+ years old. He came to the attention of East CAN after his elderly mom became ill and couldn’t care for him. Timmy is very cooperative with daily medications that are successfully managing his diabetes and help his body absorb nutrients effectively. He has a very healthy appetite & loves to snack on raw carrots, yellow squash and cucumber! He has an endearingly confident and stubborn spirit. He is potty trained and will ask to go out when he needs to go. He enjoys snuggling up next to you and can be downright pushy when he is in the mood for some petting. Timmy gets along well with children and is grumpily tolerant of other dogs. Ideally, we think he would be happiest as the only dog in the house with a person who is retired or works from home. For inquiries or meetings please contact info@eastcan.org August 2016 update: Timmy is a bit of a celebrity! He was mentioned on NPR’s coverage of the East Nashville Tomato Fest. He was one of the adorable adoptables in the annual Faux Paws Fashion Show, to benefit East C.A.N. Check it out! NPR Celebrates All Things Tomato Erica Silverboard, Photography

About East C.A.N. (Community Action Network)

About Our Rescue Group...

East Nashville has always had an over abundance of animals roaming our streets. In an attempt to help the animals with as much speed and efficiency as possible a neighborhood effort was organized. Our mission is to make a positive and immediate difference for animals and people in East Nashville by facilitating neighbors helping neighbors.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have fund raisers and adoption events through out the year, typically in spring, summer and fall. Signing up on our mailing list (via our website) will get you invites to all of our events.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a required application on our website that includes personal and vet references. We do pre-adoption home visits and periodic follow up visits post adoption. There is a $120 rehoming fee for each animal if they are microchipped or $100 if they are not.
