Buddy's Story...
This is Buddy. We think he is a male Dachshund or Dachshund mix- he might have a touch of Beagle if anything, or might be a purebred, we are not sure. We do know he is a little sweet heart and loves to be held and loves to be a lap boy too. Buddy is about 7 yrs old and weighs about 19 lbs. What a sweet little guy. He gets along fine with our other small breed foster dogs, both male and female - very friendly little guy. Per his previous owner, we believe that Buddy is housetrained as well. He is a pleasure to walk on a leash and he rides very well in the car. This nice little guy would make someone a wonderful companion.

Buddy is neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in Buddy, we ask that you visit our website, www.friendsofcanines.org and click on
Adoption process and fill out an adoption application. Buddy's adoption fee is $175. Thank you for considering one of our foster dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Tracy Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Tracy, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Tracy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tracy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tracy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tracy paves the way for another one to be saved.
