This is Tilly! She looks like a small German Shepherd, but probably weighs about 30-40 lbs. She has been absolutely traumatized by her new housing situation, but is slowly coming out of her shell. She walks so nicely on a leash and has been pretty quiet, so far. She hasn't played for us yet, but we think she will (she does try to catch flies while she walks). She would love a new home with patient humans who will allow her to adjust, relax, and be herself. She seems like a delightful girl, just scared in her new surroundings. Because she can be fearful, she would likely do best in a home with no small children.
Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want you to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
