Meet August!  This sweet, playful, 3 year old gorgeous girl commands your attention and is a "leaner".  She gets along well with other dogs and loves to instigate her pack in play. This stunner is housebroken and crate trained and loves pull ropes, Kongs and good sized hard beef bones. August has the tendency to be the one wanting the attention especially if there is more than one dog in the house. August is energetic and can run circles around her foster siblings. She's smart and will alert you to anyone who arrives at your house while her tail is wagging waiting to meet new people. She loves to be with her people and tends to bond fairly quickly with her humans. If you have a pack already she'll fit in fine except she's liable to position herself between you and them, nibbling on their ankles herding them  to play. If you're not careful, she'll get into bed with you, if you let her. If she had a choice, she'd be a lap dog. She could use some basic training with positive reinforcement as sometimes she is too playful. August lives in a home with a four foot fence and has not once tried to jump it or dig underneath it, although if left unattended for too long in the yard, she will investigate what's under the grass lol Overall she's a great, sweet girl that would be a wonderful addition to a family with older children who can reinforce boundaries with her.  Older children would be best as she likes to paw at her humans when she wants attention.  August was found to have an old break to her right rear leg, but don't let that fool you as she loves to run and play with the best of them.  August is being fostered in Fayetteville, NC.
