Dakota beat the odds! He got loose or was let loose off of the chain that held him. Either he was starved by owner or starved from being on the streets. He came to a shelter who contacted us and he is now in a loving foster home, helping this boy gain all the weight he lost. He wasn't just thin...he was emaciated when found and had several diseases too that need attention. Yet he has a sweet nature and he's a survivor! Dakota is a cutie who might be totally deaf or might hear some; but we need to heal the bad ear infections before we know. He is gaining weight nicely, needs some leash training, but appears to be housebroken. Dakota looks to be a purebred Dalmatian. We expect that he'll change a lot in the next few weeks and then watch him shine! He's guestimated to be 8-10 months of age is all. Such tragedy for a young life, BUT he's doing great now...and loves everyone. Dakota is in a Houston foster home and will need a 6' fence, preferably a privacy fence.
