“Pree-vee-et!” That’s Russian for “Hello.” I’m Luka, a Siberian Husky (yes ladies and gents…apparently I’m the real deal, striking good looks, gorgeous blue eyes and all). I seem to possess all of the qualities of a typical Siberian Husky, including the need to wander. That’s how I ended up in my current situation. I was found roaming the busy streets of Mesquite with my younger brother, Logan. I call him my “brother from another mother” because he’s a Yellow Lab mix, but I love him dearly and have appointed him to be the leader of our pack. Though he’s a bit younger than me, I am comfortable following his lead. I would be devastated without him -- huskies are known for their loyalty to their “pack” and their humans -- so I need to find a home for both of us, together. I’m still fairly young so I do like to chew, but I’m learning to “chew on the right things.” I’m also working on crate training and house training. You should know that I will be a faithful companion, but I will need to be in a home with a well-secured backyard, including a tall fence, as huskies are known as the “Houdinis” of the dog world. Given a chance and good boundaries, I’ll make a terrific addition to your home. (Oh… and NO cats or really small dogs…. I hear that might be a problem given my breed). Little people are fine though…. I’m great with kids, women, and men. Again, if you have room in your heart (and home) for two dogs, please take a look at my “brother” Logan, and adopt us both.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.
