Roy's Story...
Looking for an all around nice dog? Look no further, you found Roy. This friendly fellow was given to a neighbor and she couldn't keep him so brought him to Friendship. The history of Roy is not known but he was already neutered so he probably had a family that cared for him. Roy has a pleasant personality and is easy on a leash. He is hoping to find a loving home to call his own very soon.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roy, a Elyria Beagle/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Collie for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Beagle/Collie dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Collie breeders who help with Beagle/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
