Paxton is the rough and tumble boy who could play all day! As long as there is someone to play with and toys to chew on Paxton is a happy boy. He is also incredibly smart! He already knows sit, lay down, shake and beg. He learned most of these in just one day of training. He loves to please people and is doing great at potty training!

The 'Junkyard Pups' were rescued after we received notice about orphaned puppies at a junkyard in rural southeastern Missouri. Volunteers went and originally rescued 8 but returned a few days later and found an additional 7 puppies hiding in abandoned cars. The puppies were flown to Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue in Lincoln, NE, by volunteer pilots. We believe they are from two different litters and that the moms are Lab mixes, and the fathers are St. Bernard to one litter, and possibly Border Collie/Lab of the second litter. They were initially quite traumatized and scared, but have blossomed into happy, loving, playful, silly puppies who soak up all the love & attention they can get.

The Junkyard Pups will be spayed/neutered, have 3 sets of puppy vaccinations, microchipped & dewormed prior to adoption. Adoption fee is $400. They will be ready for homes starting October 10th. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. Why Adoption is a Great Option

PAXTON, a Lincoln Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
