Champion **Tripawd**'s Story...
Champion is the best dog on three legs this side of the Mississippi! This handsome man came to Pen Pals from a shelter that couldn't afford to treat his old car accident injury. So, we took him in and now he's a three-legged dog! Champion is currently in foster care to recover from his surgery, but then will be entering a correctional center to learn his manners. Champion is a truly sweet boy who loves, loves, loves head rubs, bully sticks, and Nylabones. He is good with dogs, even if they aren't nice to him, and he's good with cats who are good with dogs. Champion is also good with kids!

Champion is 4-6 years old, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. Right now he's 45lbs, but needs to gain some weight after his travels as a stray in the wilds of Goochland.

Champion is receiving obedience training at a Virginia correctional center. To learn more about the Pen Pals program, please visit our website at www.fetchacure.org. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champion **Tripawd**, a Richmond Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
