Sophie is a 5 year old, 10 lb. mini Dachshund that needs to find a new home. She gets along well with adults and kids and enjoys sitting with her human companions or sleeping in bed with them. Unfortunately, Sophie wants to be the alpha dog in the house and does NOT get along with other animals (including dogs and cats); therefore, she needs to be the only dog in the home. Sophie’s mom is very sad to let her go, but she wants her to be in another home where she can be happy.

Sophie is housetrained, spayed, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She also just had a well visit at her veterinarian’s office in May. Sophie is a very sweet & loving girl, despite her aggressive and dominant nature with other animals. She would do well with someone who is home a lot and can spend time with her, but it is best that she not share her new home with other animal ‘siblings’.
