Hi, I'm Sugar Bear and I'm a true Gentleman! I'm a Chow/Lab/Shepard mix, around 5-6 years old and weigh around 75 pounds. I'm the most gentle, well-behaved and easy going dog. I'm house-trained, easy to leash up, and travel well in a car. My behavior has been evaluated at the AC&C Shelter with other dogs and cats, and I did well. I get along great with my foster dog-brother, and young children in my foster family. Although I like to be around kids, I mostly ignore them.
I love outdoors and walks for exercise, but I want to live inside the house with my family. I will follow you around wherever you go! I want to be a true companion to my human family, and would do well in a house where my family can spend lot of time with me. I get anxious and stress out, if left alone at home for long periods of time.
Although I like balls and other dog toys, I do not get too excited or will not run to retrieve them. I will sit calmly on the couch or at your feet, and occasionally chew a toy. I love food-filled toys and kongs. I hang out in the kitchen with my foster mom, and patiently wait for treats and my meals.
I would love to meet you! If interested in giving me my forever home please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.org. Thank you!
