Spanky's Story...
Say Hello to Spanky! His former home had him since he was a baby boy but was moving on without plans to take him along. They did the right thing by calling the loving arms of rescue. Spanky is 7 years old and one laid back, mellow guy. He enjoys being cool taking a cruise around the block but still shows a wilder side while whipping out a pugtona here and there. Spanky is full of kooky expressions and keeps his foster mom smiling. He is a beautiful apricot color, weighs in at 30 lbs but ain’t packing a lot of extra weight, he is just a big dude! Of course he is chill with the rest of the pug grumble and even their big pug called an English Mastiff. Since in our care, Spanky has been neutered, teeth cleaned, vaccinated and micro-chipped and ready for a new leash on life. Oh one more thing, Spanky is really into hanging with the boys. When his foster dad comes home he gives him a high ten and says ” Hey Bud, Let’s Party” But that means an afternoon of chilling on the couch with a game of football on TV and a walk at halftime.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spanky, a Pismo Beach Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Pismo Beach, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Pismo Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pismo Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pismo Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pismo Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
