Important Note

Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight! My name is Tucker and oh, how I wish my mom, Tara, and I had a family to call our own. We had a family once, then they abandoned us at a boarding kennel after I got caught with the neighbor's chicken in my mouth. I swear, it was an honest mistake! You see, I'm kind of like a cat. It's in my nature to chase birds, mice, snakes and other critters. I just can't help myself. I also have to admit, I'm pretty freaked out by other dogs besides my mom. Mom and I were attacked by a couple of really mean dogs at one of the kennels. I high tailed it as fast as I could and was able to get away, and my mom stopped them from coming after me. They hurt my mom real bad, and ever since then, I have a hard time trusting other dogs.

Truth be told, I'm a super cheerful, easy going and fun-loving kind of guy. I can run fast and jump high and I'm a champion bouncer on the mini trampoline in our yard. You should see me catch some air! I sometimes jump up on people cuz I'm so happy to see them, but I settle down quick and I'm a great snuggler. I've got more energy than my mom, though I'm happy to wait for her to catch up on our walks. I have excellent manners and don't pull on the leash. After a nice walk, I really look forward to hunkering down with a bone or a bully stick. Yum!

I know it's a lot to ask for you to open your heart and home to two dogs, but my mom needs me and family comes first. I don't know how I would have survived the boarding kennels without her. Honestly, two bundles of love are better than one! We're both eager to please, well mannered and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people. Even though I'm okay with the mellow, friendly dogs that live near us now, most other dogs scare me. We prefer to be the only pets in the house and we need a secure fenced yard to keep us safe, but with a dynamic duo like us, who needs anything more? Wishes do come true and I hope you'll give us a chance to show you how awesome we are!

About Canine Miracle Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Miracle Rescue is a small 501c3 non-profit rescue dedicated to saving the lives of dogs whose time has run out at local shelters. We believe homeless animals deserve a second chance. Our rescue dogs are either housed at an 18 acre country property affectionately known as "Rascal Flats" near Cottage Grove, OR or in foster homes. We also assist families in crisis with help re-homing their dogs through networking, outreach and partnership with other rescues, and/or providing temporary housing for their dogs if we have space. Canine Miracle Rescue includes two professional dog trainers with more than 20 years experience in animal behavior and training, and a few dedicated volunteers that help us train and socialize our rescue dogs. Our mission is saving lives, one dog at a time.
