Information
Cocoa came to the Blind Dog Rescue from Georgia in mid-September. Her former owner, who loved her so very much, was financially unable to keep her any longer so, with a breaking heart, asked BDRA to find her a new home.
Coco is a sweet, gentle little dog who gets along just fine with people, dogs and cats. She enjoys sitting in a lap or sleeping in a dog bed. She understands some commands, including "sit" and "come." She is housetrained, crate trained and leash trained (although may occassionally tug a bit on the leash), and enjoys walking around outside. She eats well, and sleeps through the night. She is estimated to be only six to seven years old, so has many years ahead of her.
If she sounds like the perfect dog - well, she just might be!
Her health is good overall, including her heart and lungs, her legs are strong, her ears are clear. She had a dental on September 23rd, and needed no extractions - just a cleaning! Her blookwork and ECG were within normal limits. She has cataracts in both eyes and so has limited vision, but gets around pretty well. She is a smart dog! Other than the cataracts, her eyes are healthy. She is heartworm negative too. She does scratch sometimes, but this seems to be decreasing over time.
Coco has not been around young children and may get along well with them but, as with all dogs of any age or size, she must be closely supervised whenever she is around children.
Coco is looking for a home where someone will give her lots of love, naps in a lap, and walks around the yard or down the street. Please consider this sweet and special girl!
