My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI, My name is Dex. I am a 5 year young Schnauzer boy. I find myself in Rescue due to my previous family had some very serious health issues, which made it impossible for my fur brothers and sisters to return home.

My Mom had to make the difficult decision while in the hospital,, to give us up to the animal shelter. Lucky for us, there is a great local rescue (SRC) who took all of us in. I can’t tell you how great that felt. Life inside the shelter is unknown from day to day, so it was nice to finally lay my head down on something soft, and to finally sleep with no worries.

I can tell you, this rescue thing in awesome! My first week in rescue, I had a great bath and hair cut, and a visit to the doggie doctor. The doctor said I was already neutered, and made me current on all my shots. He even cleaned my teeth. I can say, I left there feeling like a million bucks!! After that….. I was off with one of my brothers, to our new foster home.

Foster homes are great! I have several new fur friends to play with and my very own comfy bed to sleep in. I have lots of toys to play with, and love running in the yard.

My foster mom likes to brag on me. She’s always telling folks how sweet I am, and how I’m crate trained and housebroke. I’m not sure what those things mean, but she’s pretty excited about it, so I just let her brag!

I have one final thing to do on this journey…..and that would be to find my furever home. If you feel you could be the perfect family for me, please fill out an application for DEX ??.
