Diesel's Story...
Male - Black - 5.5 yrs - 32#s This GORGEOUS boy is definitely worth his weight in gold! He is very shy, quiet and timid but a cuddlebug nevertheless. Picked up as a stray from the dark/drabby streets he was left for dead but after surviving all the chaos at the shelter he is a bit traumatized! Begging for love and affection he is looking for an owner to spend time with him and spoil him rotten. An INDOOR dog and considered a furniture boy he will delight you and make a wonderful companion. He enjoys walks and rides in the car. He is already housetrained for the most part and obienced trained. He will make a great companion for another quiet, submissive K9 who would be less active. He prefers OLDER kids and loves adults alike and would like an experienced household who understands his breed and one who could spend most of their time with him. He will bring delight and laughter on a daily basis to any household and with his soulful eyes he will melt your heart and bring you into his trap! An adoption application is required - SEND EMAIL request to:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diesel, a Downey Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever for sale in Downey, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Downey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Downey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Downey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Downey paves the way for another one to be saved.
