I am good with dogs.

Nemo's Story...

NEMO - male - 6 pounds - Exotic mystery mix, probably Papillon with Longhair Chihuahua.

Nemo gives lots of kisses.  He gets along with other dogs, plays with them, snuggles and cuddles with them.  He doesn't like to share his food with other doggies though!  (He is tiny so he figures he needs his share!  This is easy enough to address, though:  he should have his own bowl for mealtimes.)  Nemo has mild separation anxiety - in other words he doesn't like to be left totally alone - so he might be happiest in a home where there's another dog or two to hang out with, when the humans are at work.

Nemo is learning about cats, with good results so far.

Nemo is affectionate.  He likes to snuggle and cuddle with women.  He's quite the lover!  With men he is initially shy.

Nemo is housetrained and he sleeps quietly in his crate.  He's a nice little man!

Adoption application required.  Inquire to LoriPasch@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nemo, a Downey Papillon/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Chihuahua for sale in Downey, or seeking a Papillon/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Downey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Downey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Downey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Chihuahua breeders who help with Papillon/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Downey paves the way for another one to be saved.
