Joey is a male Corgi/Shiba Inu mix approximately 1 1/2 years old. He is a hefty, stocky boy weighing a solid 29 pounds full-grown. Joey has a soft tan and buff coat with black and dark brown markings. He has the cutest perky ears that tip over slightly at the top. Joey is low to the ground, athletic and sporty. He absolutely LOVES playing fetch above all else, and he does it very well. He can find a ball pretty much anywhere you throw it and when he is not involved in an active game of fetch, Joey can frequently be seen trotting around merrily with his favorite ball in his mouth. Joey lives to play and gets along great with other dogs, kids, and pretty much everyone. He is well-adjusted, confident, and loves to be in the center of activity. Joey would make an excellent dog for an active, outdoorsy family who wants a super fun, cool dog to join them in adventures. His size is actually quite manageable, even for children. Joey can keep up with the best of them and will shine at the dog beach, dog park, kids sports games, even agility or obedience training. Joey is very intelligent and has already learned the command "sit". He has good indoor manners and is housebroken. He is quick and eager to please, combined with a wholehearted zest for life and a great capacity to love his people. He is also quiet and not a barker. Joey was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He is a healthy and hardy dog. Joey is going to make a super fun pet and companion. He is quite unique in looks and one of a kind! Joey is ready for his new forever home today.

Joey’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Joey is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Zume and Elizabeth is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JOEY, a Newport Beach Corgi/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Shiba Inu for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Corgi/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Corgi/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
