My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calling all yellow lab lovers! Daisy is a sunny, sweet 9 year old gal who weighs a trim 55 pounds. We don't know for sure if she is a purebred, but she certainly looks like one. Not only is she super friendly, she has perfect house manners. She doesn't bark, chew, climb on the furniture or try to snatch food off the table--and she's house-trained! Daisy is a family dog who needs a family--one that will keep and love her forever.

Her foster home tells us Daisy loves pretty much everything: adults, kids, other dogs, lounging around outside, sleeping on her doggy bed, and taking long walks. She is very well-behaved on walks; although she does stop and look at squirrels, she never pulls or tries to chase them. She is used to walking with a harness but might be just as well-behaved on a regular collar. The two things Daisy doesn't like are being crated and walking on wood or tile floors. But since she is so well behaved a crate is not necessary, and a few throw rugs at her foster home have made her more confident on slippery floors.

Daisy is in very good health, and looks and acts much younger than her 9 years. We know what you are thinking: She sounds so wonderful, why did she get left at a shelter? We were told her former owners replaced her with a puppy, hard as that is to believe.

If you have room in your heart for an older dog who has lots of life, not to mention a love for life, left in her, Daisy could be the dog for you! We know she will not only brighten up your day, she will get you outside for long walks and lounging in the sun.

Daisy's adoption fee of $200 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, rabies vaccination, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heart worm test (negative), heart worm preventative, dental cleaning and extraction, and spay.
