Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Risk! We know mom is a small black lab mix, and this pup's long shaggy hair makes us think dad could be a wire-haired terrier. Since this is just a guess, only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of his ultimate breed and size should apply!
Risk is one of the smallest of the litter, and one of the shyest. But once he gets to know you, he is ready to play! He has typical puppy energy, and will need regular exercise as well as someone to spend time just playing with him. Although not yet house trained, he knows to potty outside.
Because he is so small (under 7 pounds) and so young (10 weeks on10/1), Risk needs a family where someone is home part or all of the day to get him potty-trained and keep him socialized. Puppy obedience school is also required, once he is old enough.
You can meet Risk at his current foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd., during normal store hours (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com) Though you may want to take him home on the
spot, please know you will first have to go through our normal application process.
His estimated date of birth is 7/24/15, and his adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, fecal exam, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative and neuter.
