Matilda and her siblings and mom came to the rescue under sad circumstances. She had been found alone in a culvert pipe with her family. A wonderful Samaritan saved the family provided shelter, food, and safety until they could come to our Foster.
Mom is a Yellow Labrador Retriever; Father(s) is unknown; however, they have many traits of St. Bernard; so perhaps Dad was a St. Bernard mix? We just are not certain.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matilda, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
