My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little darling was found tied to the gate at a vet office when they opened for the morning. He has since been taken in by a local family but they cannot keep him. Their older dog does not appreciate Tito's puppy energy. Tito's paperwork says hound mix but he appears to possibly be a pointer mix. He is a very energetic, sweet boy who is outgoing and enjoys life. He is learning manners and housetraining and he lives to please.

Tito likes being outside, playing ball and going for walks. On car rides he will lay in the back seat and wait for the next adventure. His crate is a happy place, he has the door open during the day and goes in and out. He sleeps in it at night with the door latched.

Tito is learning manners and still needs some work on puppy behaviors such as mouthing you while playing, and jumping on people for greetings. He is great with other dogs and has not really been exposed to a lot of children but we don't have any reason to suspect he wouldn't do well, though he could easily knock over a little one with his exuberance. He lets the humans take things out of his mouth with no issue.

Tito needs to be fed separately for now because of the other dog in the home. Tito is a "no" with cats. He is looking for a good leader who will be gentle but firm and will keep up with his training and socialization.

Tito is 7 months old (as of late September). He walks well on leash, knows some basic commands and greets new people with a tail wag. He is very treat motivated so he should be a fun boy to continue training and maybe participate in canine sports - he'd likely be a great running companion. He would love a furry companion in his life!

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
