Hi, I’m Jake and I am told often that I’m a very good boy! In the midst of the craziness and barking that happens when several Chihuahuas get together, I am usually calm and centered. I love attention, but am not pushy. I am not at all aggressive and tolerate others well. I will delight in your company, but am happy to have a little “me” time as well. I am a solid and stoic guy with an easy-going and gentle disposition. I am looking for a patient, loving family that will take the time to teach me how to walk on a leash, some basic commands, and who understands I have dry eyes that have given me some problems but the vet said to start putting artificial tears in my eyes and it will solve the problem. I have been waiting for a forever home for a long time and hope you are it.
Spayed or Neutered: Yes
Special Needs: I tend to have dry eyes and need tear drops (regular over the counter) put in my eyes to keep them moist. The kennel has fans which may dry them out more easily than they would in a home.
Likes Dogs: Yes, but usually hang back in a crowd
Likes Cats: Unsure
Likes Kids: Little ones may make me nervous
My caretakers would describe me as:
Quiet & Reserved
Unless otherwise noted, all dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped prior to adoption. An application, home check and paid adoption fee are required prior to adoption. The adoption fee for adult dogs is $175 and for puppies $225 unless otherwise specified.
