Chestnut's Story...
Hey there! I'm new here, so my caretakers are still learning about me. I was transferred from another shelter, but now I am looking for a fresh start! I may be around a year old, but I still have plenty to learn. I could certainly benefit from basic training to teach me to keep all four paws on the ground and perfect my leach walking skills. I love to play and wiggle in the field; you should come play with me! Think I might be the one to complete your family? Spend some time with me today!

I weigh ~67lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chestnut, a Wilmington Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
