Casper is a 1 year old American Bulldog puppy with piercing blue eyes and a love of snuggling. He is so stinkin' cute! Wants nothing more than to be on your lap, and is great with all people/strangers and even little kids! He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and especially loves his big white boxer brother. If you have a mellow dog who is looking for a buddy, Casper is the guy for you!

Casper would prefer a work from home or stay at home owner, as he gets anxious when left for over 4 hours..... This cutie patootey just wants to be loved and reassured... are you his special person?

Casper's "special need" is that he is deaf (deaf dogs are awesome and easy, see: http://deafdogsrock.com/ ). He may also have some shortsightedness; though he can chase a ball just fine (boy does he love fetch!) it may contribute to his anxiety around other dogs. Due to his deafness, we'd prefer a home with a fenced yard, because if Casper can't see you, he can't "hear" you!

About Red Hook Dog Rescue (PA)

About Our Rescue Group...

Red Hook Dog Rescue is run by the CPDT-KA trainer Harriet Zucker. She has decades of experience helping dogs and their owners in NYC, specifically in the Red Hook, Brooklyn area.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $250. We require a short adoption application, home visit and reference checks. We are very hands-on and may require new dog owners to attend obedience lessons (easy, and fun -- and as we pay for them, free).
