Ellie's Story...
Hi, I'm Ellie! I know a lady shouldn't divulge her age, but since they say I have to, I'll tell you that I am somewhere around 7 years old. Although I have had a rough life in the past, I'm enjoying myself now. At my old house, I had to stay outside with my puppies in the cold and rain! I hate rain! But now that I have a nice foster home, I get to stay inside and have good food, treats, and several comfy dog beds to choose from. I like to go for walks around the neighborhood and check my pee-mail. Although I love it here, my foster family has five other dogs and so I don't get as much attention as I would like. (Ideally, I'd like all the attention!) If you have food, treats and dog beds, maybe we could meet and see if we like each other. I'll be the one on the comfy dog bed. Ellie is fostered in Huntsville, AL. If interested email info@forrescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
