My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Velma and I was born in a field behind a flower nursery to a feral mother who had no home. She did the best she could and gave birth to us in a fox den that protected us during the hot summer months. I’m about 10-12 weeks old now and the people who owned the nursery caught my other 3 siblings and I and brought us home to start getting us healthy and ready for new families. We sure were blessed to have them care enough to love us and care for us like this. I am a Lab/Cattle Dog mix they say. I weigh 12 pounds and I am a really pretty and sweet girl. It looks like I will be a medium size dog of about 45 lbs when I’m full grown. I am spunky which probably comes from surviving with my mom and siblings out there in the field. I am street smart and will probably learn lots of great things if I have an owner who will take the time to teach me. I am also very affectionate and know exactly how to grab the attention from people. I would be great with children and also as a running or hiking partner. You really won’t go wrong if you adopt me!
