Rainbow's Story...
Rainbow (aka Tiger Wilks, aka Autumn) is the sweetest kitten ever. Rescued from a kill shelter, she seems to understand her life was saved and is grateful... Or maybe she is just trying to trick us to keep her? We are a small rescue team and we have to find her a home, otherwise we can't rescue any more kities!

Rainbow is okay with other cats but she really, REALLY LUVES, LURVES, ADORES and WORSHIPS humans. Quintessential lapcat, lapwarmer and lapdancer (!?!), she purrs herself into a purr bliss, lowering her human blood pressure and encouraging smiles and kitty baby talk.

Rainbow is 7 months old, spayed, tested for FIV and FELV, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rainbow, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
