Eli's Story...
This easy going, mushy man is Eli, a 2 1/2 year old brown tiger that has been dreaming of a great home of his own for quite a while now. Eli was one of many cats that were being cared for by a local animal lover who tried her best to do right by them. She fed, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered several neighborhood cats but when neighbors began to complain, we were called in to take some of the friendly felines. Eli came in with a sibling that tested positive for feline leukemia, so poor Eli had to wait for six months to be sure that he didn't have it as well. Eli has a sparkling clean bill of health now and is ready to meet a wonderful family that will make his life complete. He is an outgoing, friendly, lovable guy that gets along great with people of all ages and cats too. He would transition so easily into any good home where he would be spoiled and well cared for just like he should be. File#24521 3/17/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
