Scratchy's Story...
Scratchy is a friendly, social girl who was brought into the shelter as a stray and is estimated to be about a year old. She is a social butterfly and really enjoys the company of all, two or four legged. Scratchy was brought to us with some wounds, but she has since healed and is waiting for her fairy tale ending! She is no couch potato, so she will need lots of exercise and an outlet for her energy. She loves to explore her surroundings, so she would be a great walking or running partner! Scratchy weighs about 40 pounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scratchy, a Toledo Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
