Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a big lug weighing in at 100 lbs. We believe he’s a Lab/Italian Mastiff mix and his 2nd birthday will be coming around in December 2015. He has a gentle giant disposition along with a desire to please his people. Rocky LOVES children!! He’s kind and gentle with his play. He welcomes all the tail pulling, eye poking and ear tugging that come with playing with a toddler. He’ll happily roll on the ground and wrestle! He will bond closely and become the protector of the home. Rocky did have an incident in his past with a small special needs dog so he cannot live with small dogs, however he has been tested with larger dogs and cats and did great! He may need some socialization to teach him not all dogs want to play and to respect their boundaries. He responds to correction very well and knows basic commands. He may need some more work, but his desire to please should make training a breeze. Oh, and this guy also loves food! Rocky has tons of potential to be a great family dog. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Vancouver Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
