Information
Magpie is a very sweet blind and deaf little girl. We are working at housebreaking, but she still pees in her crate some. She loves to play outside in our back fenced yard, and if I'm pulling any weeds she will find the weed and run with it! She loves to explore the yard, and will dig if she finds a mole hole.
She loves to play with her sister, and will bark at her if she's not playing! In the house I have a large pen they can play in. Magpie likes to play under the little blanket I have for them, and jump out at her sister! Magpie is crate trained, likes her crate, and does sleep through the night. She also loves peanut butter! I put a little in a KONG, she loves that.
I always let her know I'm with her with touch, and sometimes she can find me by smell! We are also working with a harness, she will wear it for a while while I'm with her. We haven't done a lot with a leash yet. It's been so rainy and wet here! Then it gets hot. Magpie does not like the rain!! We've tried a pee pad, but she just tries to tear it up, so I use an old towel, and that works. She's so sweet and loves to be held!
8/1 Update: Magpie is doing fine! She is now housebroken, unless it's raining buckets outside. She really is curious about our cat, and loves to sniff at her through the door, but I'm really careful so she won't get scratched. She loves to try and play with our dogs, but my little one, Nugget, just won't have it! Our other dog does ok with her for short times.
Magpie plays with lots of toys, and loves to run in our fenced yard out back. We are working on the harness and leash. It's become hot here again so we only stay out for short times during the day.
