Macchiato's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Macchiato's Story...
I am Macchiato, named for my handsome coloring with distinct markings. I even have a little gray that shows off my years of wisdom. I am one of the most mellow and easy going guys around. I was very well loved and cared for but was separated from my family some how and ended up in the pound until I was rescued by DLRR. I don't get too excited about much except getting loved on. I like someone to spend a lot of time with me. I am well behaved in the house and know how to use a doggy door. I like to lay out in the sun with my foster sister but I never go too far from my foster mom. Sometimes I get anxious when she leaves me but I am getting better everyday. I would love a new family that could spend time with me everyday. I promise to keep your feet warm and always be by your side. I even know a few tricks and I am a good listener about boundaries and knowing the rules. I love walks, like other dogs and am well behaved around kids. I haven't seen a cat so I don't know if I like them or not. If you think I might be the guy for you I would really like to meet you!

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macchiato, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
