Chunk's Story...
Chunk is a 2-3 year old male small standard full dachshund. He is black/red brindle in color. I was an owner surrender to the San Angelo Texas shelter along with my other two house mates. I am very quiet until i trust you and then i am full of energy and love to run. I am good with all family members but caution around young children and toddlers as i could push them over and harm them. i am doggie door trained and mostly house and crate trained. I do best with submissive males or only female dogs, I am current on all shots, heart worm and tic disease free, my teeth have been cleaned and i am chipped. I love to chase cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunk, a Lubbock Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Lubbock, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lubbock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lubbock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lubbock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lubbock paves the way for another one to be saved.
