My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Kira. I was most likely born in 2012 and I weigh as much as 35 pounds. My coat is black, short and shiny on top and I have beautifully patterned legs and belly. I am fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. After being with my foster parents now for a few weeks, I think it’s time for me to move on to the next level. My biggest wish is to find my forever home within a great family.
I am very well mannered, house trained, crate trained and I get along with all humans, dogs and cats. Staying alone in my crate for several hours is no problem for me. I also learned some basic commands, like sit and down and come. I will come whenever you call me and stay close to you. And I am not a barker, so you won’t hear any complaints from the neighbors. I learned to love going for walks and my foster mom says I couldn’t walk any better.
I begin to understand that toys are for fun and playing. My favorite toy is the Frisbee. Then I even get goofy and run around like a crazy one. I love to snuggle and enjoy every attention you give me; on the other hand I can lay on my pillow quietly if the timing is not so convenient.
Although I am well-mannered you must understand that I am still a little bit reserved regarding new people and new situations. I just need a friendly hand to teach me and some patience to overcome some of my fears.
You see, I am an almost perfect midsized dog, still young enough to learn everything you want me to, gentle, calm and good at heart. And of course you will get the whole package: I am spayed, microchipped, up to date with all vaccines, heartworm, worms and flea prevention.
Will you be my new family? Do you want to learn more about me? I am excited to hear from you. Email info@forrescue.net
