Shrek's Story...
Shrek and Fiona are sweet, friendly dogs looking for a loving, permanent home. They will need to be adopted together, as they're very bonded to each other and don't like being alone. They love going on long walks together but also love chasing a ball around; they do need to learn to bring the ball back though. They're highly food motivated and already know the sit command. They both have the potential to learn so much more. They do need to learn to take treats a little more gently, that's why small toddlers would not be a good match for them. Respectful kids 8 and older would be a better match for both of them. If you would like to meet this delightful girl and her side-kick Shrek, please fill out an adoption application at the front desk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shrek, a Bellingham Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
