My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thelma!

Age Approx 7-8 Months | Weight: 35lbs
Breed: Pitbull Terrier Mix
Dogs: Yes With Proper Intro | Cats: Not Tested | Kids: Older(12+)
Status: Fearful - Available to the right home

Thelma has had a tough start to life and its left her afraid of changes in her environment. Thelma is the sweetest girl and will snuggle up with you under the covers to watch movies. Thelma is very gentle and loving and will flourish in the right home. She is currently being exposed to lost of different environments and things in order to help learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. Thelma needs a patient home that is experienced and confident. One that can help her build her confidence and self esteem through positive reinforcement and slow gradual introductions.. Thelma likes other dogs and is fine with them with a proper introduction. Without one she becomes terrified, loud and will try to escape the situation. She is currently living with another dog at this time and would likely very much enjoy a furry companion in her life.

This little girl would thrive in a home that is prepared to invest in her future with routine, consistency, training and treats while also being empathetic and patient. A scared dog needs time to adjust in their new surroundings, this is not going to happen in the first couple of weeks.

If you have questions regarding Thelma or would like to meet her to further understand her behaviour please connect with us.

Please note that we are looking for a home experienced with power breeds.
