Bruster's Story...

A veterinarian always examines our cats before they are offered for adoption. All cats are tested for FIV/FeLV, given rabies and FCP vaccinations, treated for parasites as a matter of course, spayed or neutered and provided dental treatment if needed.

My brothers and I turned up at the Las Cruces shelter early this year. We enjoy each other?s company so much that we weren?t motivated to find homes, We decided it was time, so we moved to Colorado Springs. My brothers found a great home together, but I am going to strike out on my own now. I am microchipped, neutered, tested and vaccinated ? ready to go home with you!

We were founded in 2008 to find loving homes for cats, thus giving them a second chance at our shelter. We were the first shelter in Colorado Springs serving cats exclusively. We are proud to be a limited admission, adoption guaranteed shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruster, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
