Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Courtesy Post - This stunning cat is not with us- we are helping a community member find him a home by posting him. He showed up as a stray and his human benefactors cannot keep him, so he urgently needs a permanent home.
New Kitty:
Consider him the Clint Eastwood of kitties. He's rough and tumble but with a sweet demeanor. He lived on the streets for a few years and is FIV and FeLV positive so he's best to be an only cat or housed with another FIV / FeLV postive kitty. He gets along with others well but needs a bit of time to acclimate. He's estimated to be around 5 years old. He has had regular vet care and is neutered and chipped.
He likes head pets and under the chin scritches but doesn't like his back or back-end touched too much. He's not a belly rub kind of kitty.
He has some arthritis and is perfect for someone with a slower paced life. He gets mats on his back if he's not brushed so we'll send him to his new home with a furminator that will help keep those down to a minimum. Otherwise he has to be shaved and he's not too keen on that.
He's a lap cat when he's comfortable with you but generally more of a quiet old man kitty who doesn't really make a peep and enjoys laying in the sun and relaxing.
P.S. His full name is New Kitty with Ears because he showed up when we had another kitty that looked just like him called Gabe who had lost his ears due to fights. So he was the "New Kitty with Ears" and the name stuck. He does know his name, we shorten it to New Kitty or New Kitty Viddles. He's very affectionate when he gets to know you. He is up to date on his rabies vaccine.
