My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(FYI: The cat who is about to be described isn't at the Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary, but is being fostered by a supporter of the sanctuary.) Ryan, about 5 or 6 years old, is a front-declawed male cat whose fur is currently growing out after most of it was shaved off (to get rid of the mats he had when he was rescued after being abandoned). His fur will eventually grow out into a beautiful long coat. One of the accompanying photos shows Ryan in his current "fur growing out" stage. The other photo shows him when he was first rescued and his long fur was matted (and was still a bit dirty before it was shampooed and shaved down). He is shy at first, but eventually "warms up" when he gets to know and trust you. He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots, and he tested "negative" for feline leukemia and FIV. He is currently staying in a back room of a shop in Wickliffe. The business' owner treats him very well, but he needs to be adopted into a permanent, loving home. There is a rehoming fee of $50 to help ensure his safety, and (we are grateful to say!) the fee will be donated to our sanctuary.
