Sphere's Story...
Sphere came in with his much older lap-dog sized companion, Pami, who was adopted after only a few days. Although he sorely missed her after she first left, Sphere seems to have adjusted to the change beautifully. We've been giving him lots of love, which he responds to in kind, and walks, which he embarks upon with glee, taking breaks in the cool of the shade, when necessary. Sphere seems to have the classic under-socialized signs of having been kept as a backyard dog; consequently, he is not sure how to interact with new dogs. Sphere would probably be best as an only dog, with a single person or family who has the patience and time to help Sphere learn how to interact appropriately with other dogs, and how to accept love and affection from his human caregivers. We have no doubt he will love you back & then some! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sphere, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
