Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Henry was turned into the shelter for euthanasia because he "was having accidents." This senior boy literally was going to be walked from the drop off to the back room, but one volunteer couldn't stand by and watch, so she texted us and we had minutes to respond. We are so glad we did because his "accidents" were caused by crystals in his bladder and are easily treatable with a consistent dose of the inexpensive medication, dl methionine, and will cost $16 a month. This seven year old senior boy is everything a good German Shepherd should be: loyal, vocal, active, smart and sweet! Don't let his age fool you, he loves toys and still has a happy life ahead of him. He absolutely will chase cats, but is great with other large/medium sized dogs and would do great with children. He will need a family with breed experience, a physical fence and we will provide all of the information on the medication he requires.
Henry's adoption fee is $200. <p> All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.
ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. DO NOT USE THE PETFINDER/ADOPTAPET CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those--only submitted applications will receive a response. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions, though rare, may be made on a case by case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
