My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: Diamond has had her surgery the end of September and is now recovering nicely from her recent spay and hernia surgery. We are very pleased with how well she was treated at UC Davis Vet medicine hospital. Our local vet would like to check her teeth and pull a bad tooth she has, scheduled for the end of October, after which she will be available for adoption. We are very pleased with how well Diamond did with all the vet staff and has been such a good patient through this whole process. Our local vet said she is a sweet dog.

Diamond is a pleasure to walk on a leash and she rides well in the car too. She likes to watch the fence and yard for squirrels. She will frequently come up to you and lean on you to be petted. Diamond is also crate trained. She seems pretty focused on cats, and thus, we think she might do best in a home without cats.

History:
Diamond is a 3 year old lovely cropped and docked red purebred female Doberman Pinscher. She was a found stray dog with a large hernia. A Good Samaritan found her and took her into their home and contacted our rescue group in a plea for help for Diamond.

The severity of her hernia pointed us to UC Davis Veterinary medicine for help with her medical condition. After vaccinations and blood tests, UC Davis has determined that Diamond could be a candidate for surgery through their soft tissue surgery center.

Along with adoptable dogs, we take in senior dogs in need, dogs with medical conditions that need a little extra TLC and time to recover in foster care before they can find a home, just to mention a few. We thank you for your support of homeless pets and pets in need.

Thanks again for your support for Diamond and our organization!
