Francis's Story...
Name: Francis
Breed: Golden Retriever/Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Francis is a female Golden Retriever/Lab mix, about a year old, and this girl is an ideal family dog. Smart, responsive to training, easy going and friendly with everyone she meets, Francis handles a busy atmosphere well. Good with kids, good with cats, good with dogs, she loves walks and play time and then coming inside to curl up with you. She appears to be house trained, is crated when left alone, and being a young dog needs an adopter who understands that mentally, a 1 year old dog is just a well started puppy in a grown up dog body. We are looking for someone willing to do a foster to adopt, meaning take her on as a foster when she travels to us from down south in a few weeks with intent to adopt if she is the right match.

Requirements: No special requirements

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Francis, a Minneapolis Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
